Revit texture masp in Navisworks

It seems that when exporting a Revit model into Navisworks, the texture maps associated with the surfact (GWB, Ceiling Tile, Concrete) are porting forward as well.  In doing so, it makes it impossile to alter the transparency and color of the object in Navisworks.  I routinely change the transparancies of ceilings, walls and floors so that pipes, ducts and conduits can be seen.  What is the secret to shutting off the maps prior to exporting to Navisworks so that when I open a Navisworks model, I can change these items?  I tried to use the Materials section in Revit and shut off the "bump maps... that didn't work.

I'm hoping to find an answer...

Thanks,

Hello Mike,

I do not like sending curious users around suggesting they try their luck somewhere else. I know your time is valuable. Just like ours. However, this is probably a special case. I do in this case suggest asking on a Navisworks forum (assuming they have one - I have not checked.) The thing is that it was not the Revit development team who implemented the exporter to Navisworks. We had developed the framework for it which made the export possible, but the actual exporter had been done by the folks at Navisworks. We do not really know what they do with the elements their exporter processes and properties of those elements. I can only assume they should be able to preserve transparencies too, but I do not really know if they do, to be honest. Anyway, I really expect them to be able of giving you a better and detailed answer.

I thought I would try tis method first before consulting with Technical Support.

Thanks for the input.
