Revit kernel - geometric modeling kernel / geometry presentation

Dear community,

 

in my master thesis I am dealing with geometry representation in Revit - CSG, Sweep, B-Rep....
Unfortunately, in my research I could not find any further information on the topics of geometric modeling kernel and geometry representation, except for a post on @jeremytammik 's blog: The Building Coder: Revit Geometry Kernel and Cylinder Faces


What kernel does Revit use? Does Revit use its own kernel? Where can I find more information about it, especially about geometry representation?


I have been using and learning Revit for a few years now, but have never "looked into" it.
