Revit 2021 SDK - where is it

Has anyone been able to find the RevitSDK.exe for 2021?

Usually you had the option to install it via "tools and utilities" or alternatively directly from the <extraction folder>/Utilities/SDK.

Any ideas?

Yes, indeed, it was removed from there this year.

However, it is still right where it always was, in the Revit Developer Centre:

https://www.autodesk.com/developer-network/platform-technologies/revit

That information is provided in the Revit API getting started material and several hundred other places, so you ashould really have been able to answer that question yourself.

I hope and suspect that you already have... 

The advantage of the online location is that updates can be posted there as well. The tools and utilities version was never updated in the past, so the developer centre has always been the go-to location for the Revit SDK.

I had thought I would have been able to easily find the SDK. I guess information such as:

The SDK is included in every Revit product. There are two ways to install the Revit SDK:

• From the main page of the Revit installer, click “Install Tools and Utilities” and choose “Revit Software Development Kit”. (Not for 2021)
• Alternatively, you can also find the SDK in the extraction folder, under: <extraction folder>\support\SDK\RevitSDK.exe (Not for 2021)

Seems that both of these should simply be ignored for Revit 2021, I guess I should have known. Really not super helpful to have WRONG/ outdated / misleading information at the end of a long page of links.

I also searched for the text that you quote and found it in a blog post dating back to the year 2011.

Sorry, I do not think it is worthwhile updating such an old text, especially referring to Getting Started with the Revit 2012 API.

in your previous post. This also contains the reference I referred to. Sorry if I did not reference that explicitly.

I believe you and Autodesk are one in the same. Correct me if I am wrong. 

As such this is the most current information that Autodesk provide regarding where the Revit 2021 SDK can be found. 

Apologies if I did not provide sufficient detail.

Oh dear. Right you are. I see it now. 

Well, we are not one and the same. However, I am indeed an employee and rather strongly identified.

I do not have control over the Revit Developer Centre web page.

I will certainly pass on this report to the powers that be and ask them to correct that obsolete information asap.
