Maybe it didn't install correctly.  If you re-run the installer, there is a "repair" option.

Or you might try in-installing, and reinstalling.

Mine installed in a strange directory - not the same location as where I saved the installer file.  It defaulted to the 😧 drive.  I didn't even know I had a D drive.

Unchecking the box "Always ask...when opening this file..." has worked for each of the .chm files I used until now. Did you try that also?

hi, your folder name called "C#". on some post the "#" may cause the problem to open the file correctly.

try to rename the folder(e.g. "csharp") or move the file somewhere else.

i hope this helps.

glad it helps.

be aware there's an online version of the Revit API.

2018.2 is not yet available, but it won't be long. i think.

Strange, I have tried to put mine in a folder called C# and it's does not seem to cause any particular trouble...

yes, it's strange.

i have just created a folder called C# and get the same result as gh_ar (can't display chm file)

I have a Windows 10 64 bits desktop, i'm not sure how this works with e.g. Windows 7 or 8 32 or 64 bits.

It has to be Windows related (security) settings.

I see, you are right, what I had placed in the C# folder was a shortcut to the file that has been installed in the RevitSDK folder. When I put any original .chm file in this C# folder, it does not work either. Not totally sure but it could be related to html naming conventions...
