Hi,

 

I have just purchased a new Dell XPS 15.

 

I attempted to install the student version of Revit 2016,  the installation failed just after the download of the Material Library with a 1603 error.  I tried loading Revit 2017 but experienced the same error.  My guess it was something to do with licencing.  I searched the knowledge base and found a way to load via the Vertial Agent, this appeared to work.

 

However, the application is very unstable and not useable.  Basic functions like changing project units cause the screen to grey out and hang.

 

I have tried changing the screen scaling to 100% as suggested by some, this does not help, and icons and text is so small it would be unuseable.

 

Should Revit 2016 be able to operate on this high end Laptop?  Is so any suggestions on how to fix.
