Reference File Unload Without Input

I'm having an issue with Revit reference files unloading from a project without user input. The file locations have not changed. On attempting to reload the files, which appear in the reference file manager as still loaded, an error is generated that the reference files are loaded into another open project. This is unusual in that only one file was open on the workstation. 

The problem resolves itself on closing and reopening the project. This consumes too much time as Revit continues to lose money for us. Why are we paying autodesk to take money out of our pockets.?

Is this a Revit API issue, or an end user question?

Are you doing anything programmatically, or just using the standard Revit user interface?

If you are not doing anything programmatically, please note that this discussion forum is dedicated to programming Revit using the Revit API.

Therefore, you cannot expect an answer to a question such as yours relating to installation, product usage or end user support issues here.

You should try one of the non-API Revit product support discussion forums instead for that:
