Nested family not reporting Elevation from Level

Hi everyone,

I've been tackling this issue for a while but to no avail.

Does anyone know why my nested family does not report the same Elevation from Level as the parent family?

I have created a "Cube" from the Generic Model family template and then changed the category to Pipe Fittings.

I have then created a family "Pipe connection point" from the Generic Model family template and then changed the category to Pipe Accessories (note: Generic model template works fine for me, i just need them to be in those Pipe categories for scheduling)

I then nested the Cube family to the Pipe connection point family so that I could control and tag them (with elevation) for my different views. But once I change the parent families Elevation from Level, the nested Cube elevation doesn't change and the tag shows it (see attached image)

I have tried creating different parameters to report the elevation, but nothing works for me the way I want to

Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

The nested family instance probably knows nothing about the outer wrappers around its parent family.

I don't think that is the case, since I tried to load the parent family to my project (without the nested family) and give it Elevation from Level 500 mm, then I go to edit that parent family and load my nested family (CUBE). Then load the parent family again to the project, the nested family reads the elevation from level of 500 mm. The nested family reads the Elevation form Level if the parent family already had that value before loading it with the nested family.

It is only when I change the parent families Elevation from Level in the Project, the nested family doesn't read those changes
