Material Tag Host Changes Based Top-Most Element on View – Can We Lock It?

Hi everyone,

I'm creating a material tag and running into an issue.

It seems that the Material Tag automatically updates its host to whichever element is top-most in the view. I'm looking for a way to keep the tag associated with its original host, even when I move it to a different location.

I managed to create a tag that retains its host, but it doesn't display any data unless the top-most element is hidden.

Is this intended behavior in Revit?
Is there a way to preserve the original host and still have the tag display the correct data?
