Lost Central File

I'm currently caught between a rock and a hard place. I have 2 Revit Projects I am working on. I'm going to use numerical values for the files that I am working on. File 1 is a file that is on my Revit Server and it is a central file with a locally saved copy. File 2 is a copy of File 1, however is a totally separate project and was detached from the Central(file 1) and it itself was made a central file and is not on the Revit Server, but saved locally. I just opened file 1 about an hour ago and everything in File 1 was as I saved it when I finished working on File 1 yesterday afternoon. I then go back to File 2 to save it(being that I was working on it all day) and sync it to the central model and all of a sudden File 1 was made into File 2 central model and it saved over my all the work I have done in File 1. I tried recovering my last saved file from File 1, but was give an invalid directory when I went to restore backup and File 2 was just created yesterday morning, however the restore backup only dates back to yesterday evening. File 2 was being saved and synced all day to the correct central file location and all of a sudden when I opened File 1 the central model changed to File 1. File 1 and File 2 basically became the same models which hold the exact same contents after my last save and sync. How can I recover the work I lost in File 1?
