Is there a way to know if an external command has been launched?

Hi,

I do not think this is possible but I will ask anyway:

I have the need to know if a external command is in use by our users. This is not a custom tool but one purchased. If I use Dynamo as an example, I'm pretty sure I can use user32.dll's FindWindow() to determine if the Dynamo window is open. Is there anything in the Revit API that can determine if/when any external command is executed?

Yea, I thought about that. We are extracting a lot of Metrics from Revit, it may not be much of a performance hit but I'll have to test that approach.
