Intersect surface/face to analytical

Is it possible intersected surface/face  result show as analytical result.

I mean apply color to parts of surface/face that are interselected.

This sounds like a good question the the Revit Structure forum. How would you do this in the user interface?

From an API point of view, I assume you can create model curves and assign a colour to them.
