Hi,

I'm selecting member, applying Cut Back for selected members of structural member of category.

even though selected members are structural framing, i'm getting error. "Input familyInstance is not of a structural framing category"

How to overcome this issue.

please help.

Thanks

not all structural-framing families have EndPoints. ( You can start a family using a Windows.template and  assign it to the Structural framing category )

To avoid the exception test for  FamilyPlacementType.CurveDrivenStructural

				FamilyInstance fInst = element as FamilyInstance;
				if (fInst.Symbol.Family.FamilyPlacementType == FamilyPlacementType.CurveDrivenStructural)
{

}
