I have a question for Autodesk. On the forum "Ideas" one can post Ideas for the up coming Revits. How are these measured? When you look ak the top most voted, they are all GUI ideas, which is logical since there are more Revit users then programmers. So my question is, what are the odds an API related Idea gets enough votes to even get noticed? Why not make a seperate API Idea forum.

Dear Remy,

Thank you for your query and suggestion.

The Revit Idea Station includes the possibility to tag ideas.

API ideas should be tagged 'API':

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-ideas/idb-p/302/tab/most-recent/label-name/api

The Revit development team and product managers are perfectly aware of the importance and multiplication effect of developers, so I can assure you that API ideas may be similarly prioritised with less votes than end user ideas.

I hope this clarifies.

Cheers,

Jeremy

Thanks Jeremy,

I noticed the API tag. But I was concerned when clicking "Top voted" I didn't so any API relate idea at the top. That's why I posted this request. But I am glad to read the API ideas get noticed 🙂
