how to make a sheet list schedule using API

in Revit UI there is a command where is called Sheet List under schedule dropdown.

this feature is really useful in terms of getting the list of sheets depending on how you can filter.

is there any example out there showing how it is done in API?

What are the exact results you require?

Just the sheet list inside of Revit?

If so, I suggest that you create one manually and analyse the resulting database modification in detail using RevitLookup and other database exploration tools. That is the standard approach to research how to solve a Revit API programming task:
