How to get double-hinged parameter of doors/windows?

Hi there,

I'm trying to figure out whether a door or window is double-hinged (i.e. swings in two directions).

What I've understood so far is that the HandOrientation is super helpful for finding out the swing type in case of single-swing doors/windows. But for double-swinged doors/windows, I haven't found any parameter that would tell me this, and the handorientation is unreliable in this case, as it points towards just one of the two "correct" directions.

The thing is that I can reliable see that a door/window is double-hinged in floor plans, so this parameter must be stored somewhere in the element?

I believe this is completely up to the content creator, the author of the family definition. Probably, no general rule can be given. Have you ever created a family definition yourself? A window family? There are no rules. There may be best practices. Maybe you can research what they are and let us know. However, that would be a question for the more generic Architectural forum rather than here in the API group.
