Getting the offset of a hatch on a surface

When exporting a Revit model to Navisworks the exporter does not export any of the hatch patterns.  During coordination meetings it's really helpful to see the ceiling grid for our ACT ceilings to coordinate devices.  I'm trying to create an Add-in that can automatically convert the surface patterns on ceilings to model lines.

I can get the surface pattern (hatch) of the material on a face easily enough.  That will tell me the the offset and spacing of the lines in the hatch.  However, I am unable to find a a way to get the offset of that pattern on a particular surface.  Without this info I don't know where to start drawing the hatch.

Is the offset of a surface pattern for a particular surface located somewhere in the API?

I missed that post.  I'll try to decipher it.  Thank you.
