ExternalFileUtils not working with C4R?

Is it intentional that the ExternalFileUtils does not work with cloud-hosted links?

All other link types are returned, but any links to C4R Revit models are not returned at all. Feels like a bug.

Dear Matt, 

ExternalFileUtils only works with files on disk. This is intentional. There is a class ExternalResourceUtils which can get you elements using the External Resource / Referenced Files as a Service framework. You should be able to use that to find C4R models.

Thanks Jeremy - I had figured that out in the meantime - but I am struggling to determine if there's a way to identify when an External Resource Reference is "missing" versus "unloaded". This is possible with normal ExternalFileReferences, but I'm not seeing an equivalent on the External Resource Reference.

That’s unfortunately a place where we don’t have parity between files and resources.

I don’t think there’s a way to tell the difference with the API right now.
