Element image before modeling

Hi all,

I have a strange question. I would like ways to "Preview" an element before modeling (I attach an image so that it is better understood) I would like to create a command very similar to the preview you have when I am going to create a wall. Tell me the position of the wall and using "Space roof" change the location.

@naveen.kumar.t

Thank you very much for your quick reply. But I think you don't understand me.

I would like to create a command that, when located on a structural framing, gives me a preview of a "Model Line" on a 2d plan. In the active view... Not in a separate winform.

Hi @Tripler123 .

Where does the green line and red line come from?

Are the lines already present in the project and do you want to highlight them?

or

While placing the cursor over the element, do you want to create the green and red lines?

I don't think Revit has any API for creating a temporary line like what you are trying to do.

Check out these workarounds to achieve the required functionality

I hope this helps.
