Edit wall vertical profile

Hi @jeremytammik ! How are you?

I'm looking for a solution to edit wall vertical profile like is possible by Revit user interface.

I researched by some solutions here and found these posts:

Since these posts are old, I would like to confirm that this issue is still open in the Revit API.

The existing delete/rebuilt trick not works for me, because I want maintain the information (parameter values and hosted families) in walls after profile editing.

Currently, I'm using Revit 2019 update 2.2.

What can you suggested me to solve this issue?

I suggest you check the Revit Idea Station for an API wish list item in this area.

I strongly suspect one exists. Please vote for it, or create a new one if not.

Well, the Sketch API was added in Revit 2022 and significantly enhanced and expanded in Revit 2023, so things may well have changed in these releases:

Are the wall profiles created using a sketch?

I even see wall-profile-specific methods were added, e.g., CreateProfileSketch:

Please let us know whether they fulfil your requirements, and how you can make use of them to achieve what you need.
