Detail element and filled region order

Hi everybody,

Is there a way to retrieve with API the "z-order/index" of the filled regions and the detail elements in a 2D-view ?

I want to get the list  of visible elements from closer to farther in the Z-axis. The API offer functions such as bring/send-front/back, but it's not enough to get the Z-position of elements.
