Debugging FatalExecutionEngineError

Hello,

We have been working and debugging our project againts a model with no issue at all. However, we wanted to test different scenarios and try with other models or other Revit versions. Then, Revit closes after initializing and we found:

Managed Debugging Assistant 'FatalExecutionEngineError' has detected a problem in 'C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2023\Revit.exe'.
Additional Information: The runtime has encountered a fatal error. The address of the error was at 0x1c5b2780, on thread 0x63b4. The error code is 0xc0000005. This error may be a bug in the CLR or in the unsafe or non-verifiable portions of user code. Common sources of this bug include user marshaling errors for COM-interop or PInvoke, which may corrupt the stack.

Btw, we don´t use any pinvoking in the Add-In.

We have tried several things found in this forum like, unable the User Managed Compatibility mode in Visual Studio. The error is brought even after we empty the OnStartup method of IExternalApplication and only leave the return statement.

Attached the journal file, if it can be of any help

Software we are using:
Visual Studio Community 2019

Revit 2023.1 (also happens with Revit 2024)
Windows 10
(We recently installed Revit 2024 if that can affect?)

Update: The issue seems to only happen with sample Revit files when debugging. With no debugging or other files, everything runs well.

Many thanks

Can you produce a complete minimal reproducible case that I can share with the development team to reproduce, analyse, debug, possibly rectify and test the problem locally?

It needs to specify exact step-by-step instructions with all details: version of Revit, sample model to run in, code to run, observed behaviour, expected behaviour, etc.

Thank you!
