Creating an extrusion (for a beam family)

Anonymous
Not applicable

Using a beam family I can construct an extrusion through FamilyCreate.NewExtrusion. The beam family I am using has only the default References Planes and Lines. I am using the Reference Plane "Left" to be a base plane to my extrusion. Now I need to connect (I forget the right word) the end face of the extrusion to the Reference Plane "Right".
With some research I found out that create a new Alignment may help, but I don`t know if it will. In this aspect, I am not succeeding at get a Reference from the extrusion. I tried to pick a face of the extrusion, but I couldn`t.

Can someone help me?

Thanks,
Carolina.

I got what I wanted. I am constructing a sweep instead an extrusion. But if someone have an answer, it will be helpful for everyone with the same doubt.
