Create connected points

Hi!

I'm trying to find the best approach for creating and visualizing a cable routing network.

I'm experimenting with DirectShape and ModelLine to create connected points in 3D space.

Creating DirectShape instances (e.g. spheres) out of arbitrary picked points in 3D space and

connecting them using ModelLine instances.

Would this be a good approach to show connected points?

Dear Annse,

This is really an end user product related usage issue, not an API related question.

You should therefore research the optimal workflow and best practices to address your task at hand manually through the user interface first.

To do so, please discuss and analyse it with an application engineer, product usage expert, or product support.

Once you have got that part sorted out, it is time to step into the programming environment.

Apart from that, to address your question:

You may find it more effective to define your own very simple family to represent the connection nodes, e.g., a simple cube or sphere, and use that instead of a direct shape.
