Copy/Paste Component - Extensible Storage copied too?

My apologies if this has been asked before (I couldn't find any threads on it).

If my addin saves schema based data to a component, if that component is then copy and pasted, does the schema based data for the copied component get pasted too?  ie. is the schema data duplicated?

I just tried this out for you and I can confirm that yes, extensible storage data is copied with the element.
