Conversion from Fixture unit to L/s

I want to do edits in flow conversion method in Revit, Revit is using IPC 2012 tables in the conversions from Fixture unit to L/s. In flush tank systems there is no problem, the problem exists in flush valve system.

Revit converts any value below 5 FU in flush valve system to 0.95 L/s even if this value is equal to 1 and this value "0.95 L/s" for 1 FU is very very high.

I want a plugin to do a conversion for flush valve values less than 5 FU in flush valve systems to be similar to the conversion in flush tank system.

Can anyone help me in this issue?

Thanks in advance.

IPC 2012 doesn't provide values for flush valve systems with fixture units less than 5 because 5 is the lowest fixture unit count you can have in a flush valve system (1/4" urinal flush valve). In your example, a 1 fixture unit flush valve system doesn't exist as defined by IPC 2012.

If you want a plugin to convert fixture units for flush valve systems with less than 5 FU you're going to have to come up with your own table, and then I believe it's pretty trivial to multiply the FU by your table value.

When i have lavatory connected with flush valve system, the lavatory has 1 FU, how can i calculate the flow of this lavatory if one lavatory with 1 FU give me flow of 0.95 L/s in Revit conversion,, this is unreal ,, i want to make a plugin to just convert FU less than 5 to L/s equal to L/s used in flush tank table, this will result in logic flow for 1 Lav. till 5 Lavs.

Dear Islam,

Sorry nobody answered yet.

Maybe nobody knows.

I'll pass it on to the development team and see whether they can suggest anything.

On second thoughts, re-reading this thread, I do not see anything here that I can ask the development team.

Matt seems to know what he is talking about in his suggestions above.

Just as he says, the conversion itself is probably a trivial multiplication, and if you need values outside the range of existing tables, you will have to create your own.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Jeremy

Jeremy,

You may want to get your keyboard checked out. It typed "No" when it should of typed, "I already did that here: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-api-forum/usermep-calculation-addin/td-p/4968174 "

Either that or it's a typo. Very common, the keys are right next to each other.

Hi Matt,

Thank you very much for pointing that out!

I urgently need a full replacement of my memory chips, as well.

That is why I would like to focus more on Q4R4 than on answering cases:
