Changing 3d view direction and updating view accordingly

Hi!

I've created a plugin with a preview object. When I'm changing the 3D viewdirection of the view, the "cube" in the top-right corner rotates accordingly, but my model in view is not. Can someone explain why?

Also are the fundamental views built into the API somewhere? (for example front view direction)

The workaround I found that works for me: call zoomtofit method.
