I work at an architectural firm and I am new to Dynamo.
I have been asked to see if it's possible to automatically number detail groups by using dynamo.
We use detail groups in Revit to create a site layouts for large residential projects of anywhere from 30 to 600 units, these must be (manually numbered by us. There are often changes to the layout which means they must be manually re-numbered, so if plot number two must be removed, all following plots must be amended. As you can imagine this is a tedious and drawn out task.
I've been asked to see if we can use dynamo to number and re-number these units. However, I cannot even find out (by google) if dynamo allows for detail groups to be numbered, of if I must use model groups.
Ideally I would like to simply click on a detail group and this would provide the next number in the sequence and if I click the wrong group, I would like to right click (or something similar) to reverse the numbering before continuing.
If anyone know what limitations Dynamo has in this circumstance would be very helpful so I know where to focus my search as I am learning.
