I regularly am needing to bring old "Base Plan" projects up to date with the latest standards. I've built several custom tools to aid in this, however, it would be incredibly helpful to have an option in Revit's API to simply call the "Transfer Project Standards" command and control what is "checked" by Boolean. You certainly don't need to reveal the guts of the command. If we could just call the command through the API, then we would be able to PUSH that command to several projects at once with one button click.
Use cases:
Company decides on a new wall graphic standard across the board. Using the Revit API, select all relevant files to update, call Transfer Project Standards command, select Wall Types, configure API to push that command to all selected file types. (Obviously this would be done on a workhorse machine in the background).
The above example would work on every other aspect. Text and Dimension Type Names stay the same, but Font changes in the future? Push Transfer Project Standards on every Base Plan Project.
Floor Types? Railings? Object Styles? Pipe Settings and Sizes? View Templates? View Saved Positions? Project Parameters? Materials? Browser Organization?
Anyone currently maintaining these is either painstaking going into every file and Transferring Project Standards, or recreating the Transfer Project Standards tools from scratch. The ability to simply call the command through API would save hours and hours of work.
