BUG CompoundStructureLayer width set by default in feet

Not applicable

I am currently creating a bunch of Floor Types and eventually Wall Types etc and I run into a bug while creating different layer structures that is the width unit is set to feet and there is some conversion happening in the background to convert it to the project units, therefore, the final result on my compound structure is incorrect.

I've added in the meantime a multiplier of 0.00328084 to go from my mm to the "correct" feet units.

Best,

Miguel

Dear Miguel,

That is not a bug.

The official documented database length unit is always imperial feet:

Most other units are derived from SI units:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_System_of_Units

You can always use RevitLookup to examine the internal database representation of the data your add-in is working with.

Cheers,

Jeremy
