I have a link to a stereo panorama and when I open the link on my iPhone 7 and tilt the phone horizontal, the display divides into 2 tiles to be put into some plastic vr goggles. But on my iPhone 5, upon tilting, the display does not switch to 2 tiles and seemingly cannot be used for VR. I'd like to make this work on the iPhone 5 as well, are there additional settings I need? or a different app?

There is no difference between Iphone 5 and Iphone 7. Please make sure you use safari to open the stereo panorama and make sure you turned off the orientation lock and your phone can auto rotate iPhone screen orientation.
