When a mesh selection is deleted and the hole is filled back in using the Surface Tools the texture is approximated and blended based on the surrounding face colors. An option to re-apply the original texture over the same area would help keep some of the realizim after edits are made. Otherwise those areas often look blurry. Essencially the filled in areas should have the option of having the original texture reapplied so they look just like when the Push/Pull/Smooth tools are used.
