ReCap Register PointCloud Groups

One commonly heard complaint and reason for costumers to not use ReCap for the registration from the 3D laser scans is the fact that it's not possible to register a group of already registered point clouds to the other group of point clouds. 

Now you need to register each individual scans, but imagen you have scanned a house from the interior and made a point cloud group for them. And you then scanned the interior of the house and registered them as a point cloud group. You would like to load both point clouds and register them as groups and not as individual scans.

Hi Kelly,

I think what you describe is already available.  In your interior/exterior example:

1. Create Interior.rcp.  Import & register scans into a single registration group.

2. Create Exterior.rcp.  Import & register scans into a single registration group.

3. Import Exterior.rcp into Interior.rcp.  This should allow you to enter Manual registration, with each project as a separate registration group.  From there, simply pick a pair of scans that overlap and let ReCap auto-estimate it, or choose three point pairs to define the estimate.

Does that meet your requirement?  Or is there something else missing?
