Error Initializing the graphics device

Error Initializing the graphics device

Good Evening, I am trying your product to see it is something which will work for our business. The issue is I have installed it but keep getting an error when I open a new project and try to select the photo to 3D. The error I get will not let me go any further with a project. The error I get is, "Error Initializing the graphics device". is there a fix to this where I can use the product?

I have the same problem on my system with AutoDesk ReCap Photo:

Version 18.0.0.56 was running, since last week asking for update

Version 18.1.0.18 doesn't answer, no programstart

Version 18.2.0.8 answering with "Error Initializing the graphics device"

AutoDesk ReCap 2018 V.4.2.2.15 is running

- Windows 10 64bit Enterprise, 1709, all updates installed

- NVIDIA Quadro FX 380, latest Driverupdate installed

- DirectX 12

Have the same issue...frustrating.

Photo was working, forced to update and then product fails to initialise graphics device.

Other areas of autodesk (Recap Forum) are citing that the graphics card must support directx 11

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/recap-forum/can-t-open-recap-photo-after-18-1-update/td-p/7588705

My system supports directx 11 and is still having problems initialising graphics device.

So I think that there is another underlying issue....

@tcollinge737KT: the graphic device must support directx 11, noticed in the device-manual.

Thanks Klaus

I was aware, I believe that you had your issue resolved by changing Graphics Device

However my device does support directx 11 and is still not working that was the point I was trying to make
