Create Points, Planes and Axis inside ReCap that can be imported with the Pointcloud into other Autodesk Software

Working with point-cloud information in Inventor is a pretty lackluster experience currently. When zooming in to the point cloud information in Inventor to drop a point specifically, it becomes very difficult to see where you are wanting to drop the point. This would be fine however if you could navigate through the imagery to drop points, planes & axis into the model precisely where you'd like to. This would help to very quickly add in all of the working geometry one would need into a project and work from that geometry across multiple platforms simultaneously.

Essentially, the Point cloud would become like an XREF and once saved, that information would become useable inside of Inventor. This type of functionality could allow one person to be incorporating/classifying geometry to build from within the point cloud file while another person is building from that data simultaneously.

I could also see it being really nice to classify/group work geometry into subcategories to allow users to quickly filter large amounts of work geometry very quickly.

Some other ideas to work with your Inventor Team on.

Can we please make aligning/constraining point clouds to an .ipt origin easier AND be able to actually show point cloud data on an Inventor developed Drawing???? RIDICULOUS GUYS!!!! Lastly, can we allow lidar information to be derived into a part file IF you can't for whatever reason allow for easier constraining of point cloud information in a part file?

It's unfortunate that we have a very nice scanner for using Lidar information and your premier manufacturing software cannot even handle working with it at any professional capacity whatsoever...
