Using the ReCap API?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hey there,

I'm Stefan from Germany. I'm currently working an an low-cost DIY 3D Scanner.

It would be great if I could implement a 'Pictures to 3D model'-API.

Software is running on a Raspberry Pi so there's not really a lot of computing power left to do this kind of modelling without cloud assistance.

Can anyone provide me a hint how I start with this API? (Sometimes also called 'Reality Capture API'?)

To be honest the information I find are more or less confusing. I don't know where to start.

Greetings,

Stefan

Hi Mitko,

I did write to recap.api@autodesk.com, but haven't received any answer yet.

But good to know, that I'm on the right track!

Hi Mitko,

I still haven't got any response from my email yet.

I also just written a second one. Maybe the first one got lost?

Is there any way to access the API without a response from the email?

I have to admit that I don't have a lot of time left to complete this project.

Greetings

Greetings @Anonymous,

Thank you for your interest in the ReCap 360 Reality Capture service! If you have not already, please review our Developer documentation at
https://developer.autodesk.com/en/docs/reality-capture/v1/overview/.

For a more precise walkthrough, see
https://developer.autodesk.com/en/docs/reality-capture/v1/tutorials/create-3d-mesh-from-photos/.

Please be advised that the API is currently in a private beta; thus it may change without notice. Client requests are also being managed individually, so please bear with any delays.

Regards,
Zackery
