Unable to activate Recap Photo

Hi, I downloaded the education edition of Recap Pro that includes Recap Photo.  Recap loads and functions using the activation code but Recap Photo only functions in free 30 day trial mode with no where to enter the activation code.  When I login to the program using my account it takes me to the page to purchase the software.   My account shows the subscription is current.  Not sure how to activate the program.

HI @autodesk55NZD,

 

Welcome to the Community.

 

At this time, ReCap Photo is not yet available for student or education licenses. Although it is already currently in the works and based on the information from our Education Team, it may already be made available by October 31, 2017. You can refer to this Forum post for more information: Student license

Hello,

 

At this moment, ReCap Photo does not provide free online processing for EDU users. We are contemplating a suitable solution for EDU users.

If you are an existing ReMake EDU user then for the time being you may download and continue using ReMake version 17.25.4.3 until November 30th.

Thanks for you response. I am unable to download Remake from my account control panel. It says the software is no longer available and takes me to Recap. Do you have a link for Remake? Thanks

Hello,

 

If you have a valid license , you may download and install the following SFX and its update to get ReMake running:

http://up.autodesk.com/2018/MMNTO/ReMake_172531_Win64_dlm.sfx.exe

 

http://up.autodesk.com/2018/MMNTO/ReMake_2017_Update_17.25.3.1_to_17.25.4.3.msp

Hi, thank you for checking.  I downloaded Remake but the installer would not give me the option to install it since I have ReCap already installed on this computer so my option is to uninstall ReCap then install Remake.  Looks like it should work.

Hello,

 

One can either have ReMake or ReCap Photo installed on the machine at one time.

 

Uninstalling ReCap Photo and then installing ReMake would work.

hi,

i have subscribed an "architecture engineering & construction collection" that includes Recap Pro.

When i use recap photo it asks me to activate recap pro, but i already did it..

So recap photo runs in educational mode.

What to do to understand, i don't find any good answer in the forum.

Hello,

 

A collection includes ReCap and not ReCap Pro. ReCap Pro has its own subscription and serial number. 

 

Are you using an education subscription of ReCap ? 

 

Please send your contract id to devang.shah@autodesk.com so taht we know what the exact issue is ?

Hello,

 

If one has an EDU license for 'ReCap Pro', then one gets access to ReCap Photo as an EDU user.

I have a EDU license. (I filled in all the necessary info, got a licence student key online) 

 

After I installed the software it says "Activate Trial"  the other option is to buy the software 😕 

I only want to test the software in a school project , maybe I can use the trial ? (is the trial limited for a 3D project?) 

 

I have a building I captured in photo, and want to create this in 3D to print it out in a 3D printer project.

Hello,

 

If your account id is the same as what you have used to download ReCap Pro from the EDU site, then allow some time (a couple of hours) for the entitlements to take effect. If you have received the serial key for ReCap Pro EDU license, then you should be able to sign-in and use ReCap Photo to create a project soon. 

 

Do let us know if that does not turn out to be the case.

I logged in with the same e-mail. 

I installed it 1 day ago, and the ICON is locked, only option I got is to Start a Trial or buy.

Same problem for me... I downloaded edu version of Recap Pro and got serial number and activated pro, but photo is still locked.

Could you both please send us your serial key, userid, email id registered with Autodesk and contact number at photo.support@autodesk.com if the issue is not yet resolved?

I guess I have two accounts. I downloaded recap pro with my .edu account rdotson@nvcc.edu, but I also have an account rdotson159.
