is there a solution to providing storage for recap360 online projects over and above the 100GB? with
with scene we can host locally ourselves is that an option?
can we use dropbox to store the data and have recap360online link to that storage site?
the recap360 online is fantastic and our clients love it but we can only fit in 4 or 5 small projects. our clients have consultants working on projects that are spread across the world and having the online access is great. bim360team cannot read the rcs files.
Can you elaborate more on what you are trying to achieve?
You can definitely open a dropbox account and share your scan project folders and created on your Windows machine to anyone.
Uploading to recap360 web service is a great collaboration method but. There is nothing preventing you from sharing the entire projects with others via dropbox.
If you are talking about recap photo projects created on recap360.autodesk.com, if you need more storage, you can again always download autodesk reMake, and share your project files with your dropbox clients, you can safely remove your project from recap360 once the project is downloaded.
recap360 is using 360.autodesk.com so at least for now we are under their storage limit #
Hopefully that helps
we are using a laser scanner. we are publishing from 'desktop recap 360 pro' to 'autodesk recap 360 online scanviewer' and sharing with our clients their projects. the scan data is of course loaded to A360 drive, by clicking on the RCP on a360 drive we can automatically transfer to 'autodesk recap 360 online scanviewer'. this is fantastic however the a360 drive will only allow 100GB of data. we cannot buy more storage. A360 drive is the only place that 'autodesk recap 360 online scanviewer' will read data from, A360 Team does not recognise RCP files!
we need more storage on a360 drive.
we also deliver the RCP data via dropbox or USB drives however the autodesk recap 360 online method is simple and fast for all stakeholders especially the non technical or non cad people.
