Recap/Remake file formats

I'm using Remake now (and recap360) to process photo's to 3d.

The formats I can download consists of obj, fbx and rcm

After Remake stops on november 30th, will I be able to open the files from the 360 drive?

Especially the rcm files.

Or should I convert them to fbx/obj?

Secondly;

It's also  a bit confusing creating a new photo to 3D project on recap360, I get the message its moving to Recap photo with a link.

If I click the link I get the Recap Pro website, where you can download Recap Pro (which is what I did)

In the newly installed Recap, if you click Photo to 3D I get redirected back to the same recap360 dashboard in which I started.

Am I doing something wrong?

Answer: Yes, you can still download the files from A360 and you can open RCM in ReCap Photo, which was created in ReMake.

ReCap Photo will get installed with ReCap Pro. (You might have redirect here to install ReCap Photo http://blogs.autodesk.com/recap/introducing-recap-photo/)

Once you install ReCap Pro, look for desktop shortcut for ReCap Photo (Not for ReCap).

ReCap Photo enables Aerial workflow along with Object.

I hope this will help you to understand the difference.

@criteshThx for the explanation. But when I install Rcap Pro I wont get a RecapPhoto shortcut. Is this because I have Remake installed?

May I know the version of ReCap Pro?

Is it updated to the latest ReCap Pro? (Latest update to ReCap Pro will install the ReCap Photo)

If I download via account I get version 2016.

After serveral updates; now I have 4.2 installed

@anil_mistry Nope . Software keeps redirecting me to webpage, and no RemakePhoto to be found..

Hi @Inventief,

If you click Photo to 3D project option from ReCap Desktop then it will take you to Web browser. This is working as design. 

Once you install ReCap Pro then will install ReCap photo and you will have an icon on your desktop.

Oke.. still missing the recap Photo icon, but is the icon redirecting me to the website Aswell?
How do I open the rcm files?
And is it a problem to have remake installed on the same machine?

Both locations do not show RecapPhoto.

I tried to install recapPhoto on another machine and with another account, and that worked.

Seems I can only try it when I select I'm an individual or buisiness user and not sign in with my account.

Is that correct?

Is your current account register as Student (educational), if yes, then for now you cannot use that account for using ReCap Photo, soon you will get other updates from us in Education usage.

Every trial account comes with 42 Could Credits, if you want more, you have to purchase.

I see, so using more than 300 photos isnt possible..
