Hi,
I am teaching Civil 3D and ReMake.
I was told to switch to ReCap Photo, when I opened ReMake today.
I downloaded ReCap Photo via students.autodesk.com. After installation I only have two options: 30 day trail or subscribe.
Where do I put the Serial Number / Product Key / etc. in order to create models for free?

How can I obtain a license for Remake? I was able to download and install Remake but the trial ended today.
When I log into my autodesk account it doesn't have an option for download/license, only a link to products, and when I click remake, takes me to Recap...
Hello brownrj,
Autodesk ReMake is no more available for new users. It is being discontinued.
One now needs to use ReCap Photo application which is bundled with Autodesk ReCap.
One can download Autodesk ReCap application and install ReCap Photo with it.
However, EDU users need to wait for a week or two to use ReCap Photo as Photo currently requires cloud credits for usage. We are working on releasing an update that resolves this issue for EDU users.
For more information on ReCap Photo, please visit:

Thanks,

Hey,
Just wanted to ask about any progress on Recap Photo becoming available on the student license and what one has to do to change it from the trial version.
Thanks
Hello,
To use ReCap Photo in EDU mode, one needs to do the following:
1. Register and download Autodesk ReCap's latest version from EDU site.
The installer will install ReCap version 4.2.0.2 and ReCap Photo version 18.0.0.56
2. Download and Install ReCap Photo update version 18.1.0.18 from the this link or from Autodesk Desktop App
3. In ReCap Photo application, sign-in using EDU user credentials.
EDU users will not need cloud credits credits anymore for aerial & object reconstructions. However, there will be a 100 photo upload limit per project.
Thanks,
Devang

Hey,
Thank you for the solution. As I recall Remake used to have a 250 photo limit, do you think Recap will have the same soon or will it remain at a 100.
Thanks a lot.
Will there be a local processing option for the EDU version or any version of ReCap Pro? If not, what software do you recommend from Autodesk that has the ability for local processing?
Hi @Anonymous,
Thank you for participating in our Community! Unfortunately there are no immediate plans for supporting local processing for EDU users.
If you have any feedback that you would like to submit regarding any enhancement, please click on the “ReCap IdeaStation” link on the ReCap community home page. This will help the Project Manager and developers hear your voice on any changes/concerns with functionality directly for consideration in future builds.
Thank you and have a great day!

Hello, i have to choose between subscribe and 30 days trial -
Are we limited to 30 days? We have 4 months projects where we need to use this for Aerial Imports.
Hello,
The trial is for 30 days with maximum 42 cloud credits whichever runs out first.
42 cloud credits are Cloud credits will not see you through 4 months of multiple projects.

Devang
Hi,
I've posted previously on this thread and am back to ask about some more issues I'm having with my student license for ReCap and ReCap Photo. I have a student license for these two apps and have successfully downloaded, installed and activated them. When I launched ReCap the first time it said there was an update available. I downloaded and installed the update and it again said there was an update available. I go to the update manager and there are none available. Also when attempting to activate this "new" version it will not accept my serial number. How can I make sure I have the updated version if the update links don't work? If anyone has had this issue and may know of a solution please let me know. (My current version for Recap is 5.0.0.40 and ReCap Photo is 19.0.0.38 on Windows 10)
Updating this app in the past has been extremely difficult often requiring me to completely uninstall and wipe files in order to download updates, but this time it won't work at all. I wish the updates could be administered as patches instead of sloppy update downloads.
