Recap Pro 4.0.0.28 | Can Only Export to .OBJ, .RCM?

Today is my first day using ReCap; I have ReCap as part of my employer's IDSP Maintenance plan.

I've uploaded pictures for two separate 'Photo to 3D' projects. During the submission process I'm able to select which formats I want, or so I thought.  The format selection is relegated to .OBJ, and .RCM, but explicitly says that I can choose other formats later.

I've submitted the project... I've received the email notification back (took a lot longer than many posts would suggest)... I open the project in a browser (why not in the desktop app you had me install?), and I am unable to select ANY OTHER FORMAT.

How do I export to .RCS so that I can import it into Civil 3D to compare the ReCap surface to the surface I created from the actual survey data (as comparison)???

Cheers

Not being familiar with the .OBJ and .RCM formats (Civil 3D user here), it appears that .RCM is a proprietary ReMake format?

Okay, so as an IDSP (Infrastructure Design Suite) customer you give me access to ReCap - makes sense.

Again, you give me access to ReCap but relegate me to export to a file format that requires an app that's not even included in IDSP, which gave me ReCap in the first place?

Hi,

Thank you for participating in our community!

Preview quality only allows to export ReCap Photo to 3D project in OBJ and RCM format only. Ultra mode (requires 5 cloud credits) will allow you to export in other format such as FBX, RCS, and ORTH. Please, let me know if this helps.

Thank you and have a great day!

Hi @anil_mistry -

While I do appreciate the clarification, I'd be remiss to not point out that the density of the surface created has absolutely nothing to do with the available formats that it can be exported to, and you (Autodesk plural) darn well know it.

Nickle-and-diming customers for cloud credits just so they can export to the formats they need for work, when they already pay for the service as part of their subscription/maintenance plan is kind of disgusting, like you're some creepy car salesman... Please stop being creepy car salesmen.

Cheers
