To do so:
- Go to https://feedback.autodesk.com/
- Under Opportunities, look for "Autodesk Infrastructure Futures"
- Click View Opportunity and apply for access
- After access is granted, click on "Autodesk Infrastructure Futures" tab menu
- Click on "ReCap Builds"
- Click on "ReCap Pro 2026.2 Beta"
- The install instructions, release notes, and help doc are attached to the page.
This Beta introduces AI Auto Classification of the Mesh when running Scan to Mesh Local and a ton of new features for the ReCap Mesh Editor!
New Features and Improvements:
- Added support for AI Auto Classification of Building Elements when running Scan to Mesh Local.
- Added Templates into Mesh Editor:
- Add templates to project.
- Template manager to manage templates.
- Added Revit schema mapping, to map ReCap Mesh layers to Revit Categories.
- Added Revit to IFC Schema mapping in Mesh Editor.
- Added support for mesh export to IFC4.
- Added custom Meta Data to Mesh Editor.
- Added option to map point cloud classification to mesh when running scan to mesh local.
- Added LandXML export from Mesh Editor.
- Improved memory (RAM) utilisation when running scan to mesh local.
- Improved Scan to Mesh Local mesh algorithm to produce more accurate meshes, for features such as railings.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue of bounds being read incorrectly for Scan to Mesh Local on specific data sets.
- Fixed security vulnerabilities.
