ReCap mobile crashes to IPad Home screen when opening project - scanner = BLK360

When trying to open my current project ReCap Mobile crashes to the iPad home screen.

I was not done scanning, so I used pushbutton scanning.

Will I ever be able to open my project in the iPad app? Or do I need to transfer it and delete the project and start a new project?

I can open the app. This only fails when opening this project.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for participating in our community! I was wondering what version of ReCap Pro mobile application you are using? Also, do you know version of iOS you have on iPAD pro? Have you tried downloading scans from Leica BLK360 again? Let me know if this helps.

Thank you and have a great day!

I had the current version of ReCap Mobile & iOS prior to scanning a couple days ago.

You mentioned re-downloading scans from BLK360.  Can you describe that process if I can't open my project on Ipad.

I also did 2 push button scans.  I need to access 20+\- scans (via ipad & recap mobile) & 2 pushbutton scans in ReCap Pro.  Can you walk me through a step by step of re-downloading ALL scans (directly from BLK360) from 2days ago into a new project?

This is 'SUPER EASY' with the 'FREE Leica App' but Autodesk currently 'does not have any roadmap' to include import of *.blk files.  Downloading from the Leica App corrects some flaws (misalignment of photos) by downloading to ReCap Mobile.

Again, can you pleas walk me through a step by step of re-downloading ALL scans from BLK360 into a new project?

Thanks,

I look forward to hearing your reply.

Accepted solution
1. Connect BLK360 scanner
2. Create a new project
3. Select ‘storage’
4. Pick date of scans
5. Select All
2. Sync

And iPad scans & pushbutton scans will download to the iPad app in the new project.

Interesting topic.

I have the simular problem: after syncing +-22 scans from BLK to Recap Mobile, the app crashes. I have iPad Pro with enough memory.

Question: what is maximum amount possible to sync? This is not the first project where I have to put +-20scans in a project and make new project for the next +-20scans.
I also tried making 3 scan groups. When I was in 3rd scan group syncing in the scan from BLK, the app crashes and the projectfile on mobile app is corrupt > app crashes every time when opening that project.

I am seeing the same issue on a project as it was registering the 35th scan. Now when I open the project the app exits back to the iPad home screen.  I have run into this multiple times on several projects and the only way I have found to fix is to delete the project and reload the files from the scanner; however, on a project this size that would be over a days worth or tedious work.  I was able to transfer the files to my laptop today and need to see if all the scans came across or if I lost anything. I also had more scans to add the project but cannot with the app crashing.
