Hi,
I've noticed on the start screen the message regarding the Removal of the Beta Cloud services, Project Cleanup and Object Mesh.....will these service be reinstated in newer versions of Recap/PRO ? or are they now a 'paid' service? or have they been removed from Recap indefinitely ?
At the University, our students frequently use this service as part of their scan2BIM workflow, so I need to make them aware of the existing changes and future features if at all available.
Kind Regards
Paul

hi @PaulBoden8569,
Export to Mesh and Project cleanup beta features were removed from ReCap on 10/31/2018 at midnight PST. Currently this feature is not available in another Autodesk software.
We have made a public Article about this: What-is-happening-to-Export-to-Mesh-feature-in-ReCap-Pro

The project management team will post on the forums when any changes have been made to the software going forward.
I have been working on compiling a list of other softwares that have similar features for the interim. What I have discovered so far is:
Thank you and have a great day!
Thanks @jayson.sterba for your detailed reply. I'll test the suggested alternatives.

cloud compare is open source (Free) - I believe some of the others are as well.
As I'm revisiting this workflow I just came here to say that I hate this. If it was a payment thing, that'd be fine, but to just remove it? Why not leave ReMake/Memento available for dl (even unsupported) and add an import RCS button?
I'm sure yall have done a feasibility study and determined the low feature usage wasn't worth the support cost, but this was always one of those killer Autodesk features that speaks to your Make Anything mantra. It truly shortened the gap between digital and real world, and shaved real, billable hours off as-builting. Bad call yall.
Really need an Autodesk solution for turning point clouds into a mesh. These options are not viable for the data I'm trying to work with. We need help, Autodesk.
