We are new to scan business. We are using scans for tracking of construction progress. Every week we'll create a scan of the area.
I'd like to assure, that the scan that we do every week, is postioned always the same each week. Meaning, i'd adjust the location in Revit and in Navisworks NWF file once in the beginning and that's it (hopefully).
As far as i know, ReCap will position the scan origin point to the location of the first scan location (Sweep 0).
Obviously 1 scan location will not be exactly the same on site each time.
Does anyone have a workflow to have consistent positioning?
Do you open the same RCP project file every time, create s scan region of all points, load in new scans, allign, index the new scan and delete the points from the previous week, or...?
Any help would be appreciated.
