Ok, I understand. But is there any Autodesk application that can make 3D models offline?

Hi @Anonymous,

Unfortunately I am not aware of it.

If you have any feedback that you would like to submit regarding any enhancement, please click on the “ReCap IdeaStation” link on the ReCap community home page.  This will help the Project Manager and developers hear your voice on any changes/concerns with functionality directly for consideration in future builds.

Thank you and have a great day!

this is ridiculous. Why? I can render locally. Is $40 / month not enough? This is not an acceptable solution.

Really?

My Autodesk Remake was not working anymore because it needed an update. And now i have ReCap and can not do the same thing? Like working on my local computer?

That is pure rubbish.

Please fix that!

Hello,

If you have a valid license , you may download and install the following SFX and its update to get ReMake running:

http://up.autodesk.com/2018/MMNTO/ReMake_172531_Win64_dlm.sfx.exe

You just killed it for every student who wants to experiment with this software. Paid online service ?! Do you think that everyone that uses this software is massive architecture company? Two steps backwards for Autodesk! At least let students use the old version.

Hello @george_stamenov

ReCap Photo (18.1.0.18) supports Educational (Student) License and you can process as many project you wants, we do not charge anything to Student License. It has only limitation on the number of Photos you can process at once, other than that you can do everything what you were doing using ReMake (excluding Local Re-Construction)

Thanks,

I just download it and it is limited to 100 photos. Also, there is no "Local Reconstruction" option.

Still it works with the cloud.

Sad!

Can you send me a link to the version you are referring to?

This is the one I have downloaded: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/recap/downloads/caas/downloads/content/important-update-for-a...

They must have some common sense in Autodesk? You have been doing so well with the student licence. Trust me making this software paid will affect the general interest about it. Autodesk team should really reconsider their decision. You will most likely lose from the competition! Even with only 250 photos it’s still better than paying 5 credits for for a single scan.

You have to wait for hours or day to see your project start calculating.
This is not acceptable even with education licence.

Could you please elaborate how is this working?

I have installed it and it won't let me get in Remake. The window saying "Autodesk Remake has expired" and it won't let me further.

Autodesk please at least let us use the old version of Remake.

Don't just shut all down so suddenly. I have school projects depending on this software!

Hi @george_stamenov,

Thank you for participating in our Community! Unfortunately you will not be able to user ReMake but you can download latest version of ReCap and that includes ReCap Photo. You can use ReCap Photo for your Photo to 3D Project.

Please, let me know if this helps.

Thank you and have a great day!

Hello @anil_mistry ,

It allows me to do photo geometry but it isn't Offline as you have mentioned in your previous comments. Also it's limited to 100 photos , which is kind of insufficient. Will Autodesk consider, if not bringing back Remake, which I believe it won't happen, at least to allow offline function in Recap Photo with the old limit of 250 photos.

I am strongly relying on your software for my final project at Royal College of Art and it is quite unfortunate that you have decided to shut it down exactly now.

I can even send you the treatment for my animation so you can see I strongly rely on it. 😞

Hi @george_stamenov,

I am sorry for any inconvenience but at this moment ReCap Photo allows only 100 photos object reconstruction for EDU users. Thank you for your feedback and this suggestion is already submitted to ReCap IdeaStation. I wold highly recommend to click on this link to vote up this suggestion.

Thank you and have a great day!
