No indexing scans registered with targets

Hi there,
I scanned a tunnel with Trimble X7 and then I exported the scans to e57 and then to ReCap. Because there are not a lot of features in a tunnel to do the cloud to cloud registration, I decided to use spheres to link the scans. So far so good. The problem came when I tried to do the indexing.
ReCap got stuck in the first scan and it doesnt index. The software didnt crash/freeze.
This segment of the tunnel has 21 scans.
I tried to register the same segment using cloud to cloud. It took a while to find common points but it worked. ReCap indexed the scans.
I dont want to redo all the registers (around 300 scans). I would prefer to do use the targets becasue all has been already registered.
Is there any option/trick I should know to be able to index using the spheres?

Good morning, 

I found if not a solution, at least a work flow that works.

I started from scratch. This time I did cloud to cloud registration, and then, I identified the targets/spheres.

Now, Recap indexes the scans.

It is a pity/strange that recap needs first the C2C and that it doesn't let only target registration.
