Issue when combining projects

We're currently trying to combine multiple recap projects for a large scale scan we've completed. We broke the scans down into separate projects for ease when registering them together.

All individual projects are looking fine once indexed but then when we try to combine 2 together then it throws out all the scans in one of the projects?

Have tried different ways in combining these projects, such as adding an rcp file to an already indexed project & also creating a new project added 2 rcp files to link together. Boths time when picking the points in the relevant scans everything looks as though it lines up perfectly. But once combined it's like it throws out all the scans in one on the projects?

Could anyone possibly help? Has anyone had this issue before?

Please check your version. There was a bug in merging large registration groups that was fixed several versions ago.

Latest is 4.2.1.

Hi from Spain, philSTL

If you dont need realview neither individual scan locations, then maybe the solution could be this:

1- export your ReCap files that are working OK to pts, E57 or another format. Even it would be possible exporting to an unified RCP format.

2- Open a new project in ReCAP, open an structured file (its necessary to have an structured location  in order to register later)

3- Import into this new project the previously exported pts, E57 or unified RCP files and register.

Other way is using CloudCompare.
