Hello ReCap or General Autodesk Community:
I simply need to know if Autodesk has generated a stand-alone ".exe" file for the new " 2017 AUTODESK DESKTOP APP ", which you can reinstall separately, without having to "uninstall" and "reinstall" the Parent Autodesk App.exe., like "ReCap 360", which it was a part of?? As you guys know, it replaces the former 2015 - 2016 AUTODESK APPLICATION MANAGER for providing updates to the other associated installed Autodesk Programs on my system, like "AutoCad Architecture 2016", and it was installed with the new "ReCap 360" update. However, unfortunately, I mistakingly "uninstalled" it.
Now, I noticed that Autodesk does have a stand-alone ".exe" for the APPLICATION MANAGER - Version # 5.0.142.5, which got overwritten when I installed "ReCap 360". So, why do they not shown one for the DESKTOP APP??
Thanks!!

Hi Kevin,
I'll see if there is someone who can help with this and get back to you soon.
Thank you,

Hello Kevin,
To get Autodesk Desktop App installed, you can get the Desktop App installer from ReCap 360 FY17 installer.
To do this, check the location where the Autodesk installers are unzipped. Usually it is :
'c:\Autodesk' folder.
Since you have installed Autodesk ReCap 360 FY17 once, search for Autodesk ReCap 360's installer named:
Autodesk_ReCap360_30052_Multilingual_Win_64bit_dlm
Access the following folder:
Autodesk_ReCap360_30052_Multilingual_Win_64bit_dlm\x86\ADAPPLICATIONMANAGER and run 'AdApplicationManager-installer.exe'.
This should get Desktp App installed.

Hi Devang:
Actually, I found two (2) sub-subfolders under that subfolder x86. One (1) of them was named "ADAPPLICATIONMANAGER", which is for the older 2014 thru 2016 Autodesk Application Manager, Version # 5.0.142.10 and is the one that you had mentioned. The the other one (1) was named "ADSKAPP", which is the one that actually has the newer 2017 Autodesk Desktop App, Version # 6.0.45.5 that I am really looking for. It contains the correct "AdApplicationManager-installer.exe " file. But, yes, your advice was very helpful in finding these .exe files.
Thanks so much!!!

Kevin S.
