Where is stored my data from previous ReCap Photo project files, in Autodesk Drive ?

I mean i get access to all my models, for downloady when I'm on Autodesk ReCap Photo app but there is nothing on my Autodesk Drive account... how it's that possible?!?! 😕

In 'previous version' of this drive (I'm reffering on A360 drive) I found pictures, models and everything which was related to my projects that I made in Autodesk ReCap Photo 😕

Please help me !!

Hi @Anonymous ,

Are you referring to data that was available in A360 and now not in Autodesk Drive? If this is the case, you will need to migrate the data: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/ENU/DRIVE-LEARNING/files/A360Retirement/DRIVE-A360-RETIREMENT-MIGRATE-html.html

Are you using the same credentials for Autodesk Drive and ReCap Photo? What happens when you click on the "View Files" icon in the project thumbnail in the ReCap photo?  It should show all the files related to the project in your mounted Autodesk Drive in your windows explorer.

Yes, I'm reffering on that data ... and I migrate this A360 with multiple accounts that i have, don't know how it's possible that only one of this survived. But that is the smallest problem after all.

The one thing that give me headache is that i can not find files from new account, don't know where is that new files stored, also i did not download Autodesk Drive for desktop... don't know if that is a reason why i can't see what is inside of my autodesk drive 🤔

But thanks for help ,

Bye 🤗

Hi @Anonymous ,

When you download the Autodesk Desktop Connector and log in using the credentials you use for ReCap Photo, the Autodesk Drive for desktop should automatically mount to your windows explorer. You should see a mounted Autodesk Drive there.  Without Autodesk Drive on your Desktop, you will not be able to process any jobs via Autodesk Drive.

Check this thread for more details as well: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/recap-forum/autodesk-recap-photo-21-1-0-49-release-notes/td-p/9855164

Warmest Regards,

Rishov

I kind of have the same issue, I have created some models on recap photo, but I can't see them in my drive. I know that they are there as I have just 8GB of memory left, and I have received emails telling me when these models were created. But I can't find them anywhere.

Hi @Anonymous, if you're on an older version of ReCap Photo that interacts A360 Drive, it's likely that your project is still on A360 Drive. Please contact support (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/contact-support), describe your problem and mention that you need access to A360 Drive.

As A360 Drive is retired, you will have to upgrade to a supported version of ReCap Photo to send your projects to Autodesk Drive or Autodesk Docs.

I'm checking on the app and it says that I have the latest version (21. 0.0. 52). I will contact support, and see what they tell me. Thank you!

Hi @Anonymous ,

The latest version for FY21 should be 21.1.2.25 on April 6, 2021. The Autodesk App should prompt you with this update for ReCap Photo.

Warmest Regards,

Rishov

Hi, again me.

Now i have different kind of problem.

So, today when i opened Autodesk ReCap Photo app on my computer, i realized that "somehow" all my projects have been deleted, or i don't see them in the field for those purpose.

Also when i try to upload photos or, anything I'm getting an error after i upload pictures.

I mean WTF is with this Autodesk... i thought that they were reliable company, and now i saw that they does not know how to make a good product. Always bugs with this software... don't know what to think.

I try to switch my account but same does on another.

I try to show you a pictures... what is really happening...as you can see there is no projects visible in the area assigned for projectsas you can see there is no projects visible in the area assigned for projectsthis is an upload process... it runs too slow and... i really don't know... i tell to myself WTF is now... Hi @jkovilic1996 ,

Where are your projects located? Are they still in A360 or have been migrated to Autodesk Drive?

Can you see Autodesk Drive mounted on your local machine?

https://help.autodesk.com/view/RECAP/ENU/?guid=Reality_Capture_Publish_and_Share_Data_Autodesk_Drive...

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/simplecontent/content/recap-2022-a360-migration-an...

To Migrate your Files to Autodesk Drive

Once migrated, be sure Desktop Connector is working online and then Refresh Drives.

Best Regards,

Yan

Yes I can, but the real problem is that i don't see any project in ReCap Photo app and i can't upload any of them...

Just look an video (about 30 MB of size, 50 MB is original size of format from which i exported video, about 5 minutes).

You can see video in attachments, hopefully.

Thanks for helping me, but I don't know how to explain you things i got trough.

Bye 🙂

Hi @yan.fu ,

Somehow i did not look this second link that you provided to me.

Maybe because I was watching on my smartphone, so i can't look everything on screen was at the time.

So, i did like you said finally, i Installed version 2022. of Autodesk ReCap Pro ... btw exact version is: 22.0.0.223.

Also ReCap Pro came with Autodesk ReCap Photo vers. 22.0.0.788 .

I previously installed Autodesk Desktop Connector, newest version (so far): 14.11.0.1476.

For those who maybe wanted to download Autodesk Desktop Connector, they can do this on this link:

https://help.autodesk.com/view/CONNECT/ENU/?guid=GUID-03D59AAD-65B0-45E3-84F2-A12AAA5BB267

This article is helpful too and it's about features of new Autodesk ReCap 2022. and more:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/simplecontent/content/recap-2022-a360-migration-an...

... and this too: https://help.autodesk.com/view/RECAP/ENU/?guid=Reality_Capture_Publish_and_Share_Data_Autodesk_Drive...

Also i send you two photos additional, one of them has a quite useful advice. Maybe it will be more useful to make a software which does not complicate things too much because all this stuff, installing one thing, installing other thing, migrations from this from here to here and so on... takes time and... besides, there is whole new service on my laptop/comuputer. I did not mentioned that i had too many of them right now, without this (One Drive, Autodesk Fusion...) Autodesk Desktop Connector and Autodesk Drive...too... it is quite resourceful for technology that I own (or maybe some of us)

I'm confused because i think that Autodesk had much better solutions in the past like on-line browser in which you can view your projects, make new ones... even make some operations in project itself, but since then they complicate everything... and this continues to this day and maybe further than that...

Ok this is my maybe too critical thinking about all these things, read it if you want it.... here down below pictures will be placed:

Here is advice how to do when you can't make progress while using Autodesk ReCap PhotoHere is advice how to do when you can't make progress while using Autodesk ReCap PhotoThis is my 3D model progress... so it works... for now...This is my 3D model progress... so it works... for now...

here is done 3D model...here is done 3D model...

I did not mention ... but when I want to preview setting up is too slow... anyway thanks 🙂
