@ramesh_sridharan I've decimated a point cloud in recap (10%) and compared to the non decimated version by a volume analysis. the surface is c. 400 hectares so the differences are just about negligible which is great news but how is the decimation process deciding what goes and what stays?
In the Civil 3D surface simplification options a level tolerance can be specified but the decimation method in Recap is a little bit more opaque and I want to be able to answer the question if it is ever asked.
